Qigong is an ancient Chinese training and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing, and movement training. There are many different forms of qigong exercises.

Some of these forms place great emphasis on breathing and meditation to promote spirituality and health and others are more powerful and include martial arts exercises. For many of those who practice qigong, it is an individual body-soul exercise, much like yoga and other energetic forms of movement.

Qigong opens the flow of energy in meridians used in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. It enhances our ability to get in touch with the deepest and highest parts of ourselves and to deepen our communication with them. The slow soft qigong movements warm the tendons, ligaments, and muscles; strengthens vital organs and connective tissue; and promote the circulation of body fluids (blood, joints, lymph).
